ART-MAKING WORKSHOPS REQUEST FORM

The Nelson-Atkins provides free art-making classes for qualifying community organizations and non-profits.

• Guidelines for establishing a partnership with the museum:
• Community or Senior center is located in the KC area
• Organizations/their constituents shows a financial need

Organization’s constituents are comprised of communities or individuals who have historically experienced social, economic, and/or physical barriers to cultural institutions; ex: communities of color; LGBTQ+; people with disabilities; new immigrants or refugees; homeless groups or individuals; seniors; homebound populations; emerging English language learners

Qualifying organizations may request 1 to 6-week courses. Each class is approximately 90 minutes in length. Multi-week classes are typically scheduled consecutively, unless otherwise specified.

Filling out the request form does not confirm your class. Your application will be considered and responded to in 3 to 5 business days. If you are not yet a community partner, this process may also require an in-person meeting before a request can be confirmed.
