Free Weekend Fun: Unfolding the Seasons
July 1-October 29, 2023
Join us each Saturday and Sunday 1-4 p.m. for hands-on activities, close looking and conversation with Museum Guides. Activities and gallery locations change every few months, so come back often!
Fun Spot | Bloch Lobby
Design and create a folded screen with your favorite things from each of the four seasons.
Gallery Activity | Gallery 205
Learn about the variety of papers and materials used to create the folding screens and prints on view in the Japanese gallery and explore the sights of the seasons found in the art with the help of Museum Guide Volunteers.
Low Sensory Morning
We invite participants into the museum an hour before we open to the public to provide a quiet and low-stimulating environment where you can enjoy hands-on art-making activities and experience art in the galleries.
Visual resources, hand fidgets, a low sensory break room and other accommodations will be provided. This is an activity for families with children on the autism spectrum or people who have sensory sensitivities.
Drop in art making activities available in FLC Classrooms 4 & 5 during this event from 9–10:30 am.
